Courtney Canfield, ERYT-200: Courtney first found yoga in college in 2005, and her love of yoga continued to bloom while living in New York City.
The practice helped her find balance, connection and present-moment awareness in a fast-paced phase of life. Courtney has certifications in Restorative Yoga, Yin Yoga, and Yoga Nidra/Pranayama.
She has also completed an additional Advanced Teacher Training curriculum and holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Indiana University. Courtney is passionate about continual learning and sharing this lifelong journey.
Jason Kniola, LMHC, LCAC, NCC: Jason is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Clinical Addictions Counselor, and Nationally Certified Counselor. Jason also completed a 2-year training in Hakomi Body Centered Psychotherapy.
He has worked in the mental health field for over 25 years and a therapist since 2004. Additionally, Jason has training in shamanism, qigong, meditation, and yoga.
He teaches mindfulness meditation pulling from his training in Zen Buddhism, Theravada Buddhism, Tibetan Buddhism, Taoist practices, among others.
Jason is currently clinical director of the Pillars of Wellness, Hobart Branch.
Kay Woods has been practicing yoga since 2015. After playing collegiate football at Ball State, Kay moved to the Michiana area where he continued to do what he knew best, lift weights and be an athlete. However through the trials of his journey something still didn’t feel whole inside. Kay an African American male, never being introduced to the practice of yoga found the real world demanding and life stressful. That’s when Kay found yoga. The foundations and principles empowered Kay. In 2018 Kay received his yoga certification from the Solace Yoga School. Kay’s mission is to continue work in the community through social justice efforts and ensuring yoga accessibility for all.
Kimmi Troy has over 15 years of teaching experience in the fitness industry. She specializes in Trauma Informed Yoga practices and beginner Yoga.
Kimmi is a certified Health and Wellness Coach, entrepreneur and Wellness Workshop presenter. She holds a B.A. in English Writing from Saint Mary’s College. She currently teaches at her alma mater and The University of Notre Dame, as well as coordinating with the city of South Bend on various community wellness projects. Kimmi is a proud member of the Saint Mary’s College Board of Trustees, The Black Yoga Alliance, and The NAACP.
Marilyn Draper LMSW, has been a practicing mental health therapist since 2004, having graduated with a Masters in Social Work from Michigan State University. She specializes in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) therapy, but also utilizes supportive therapy, interpersonal therapy, behavior modification therapy and DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy).
Marilyn has experience treating anxiety, OCD, PTSD, depression, bipolar and personality disorders. She believes that each person is their own best healer and is grateful for the opportunity to illuminate the path for inner healing and journey work.
